What Better Access is, and what it is not.
A concept for staff
Better Access is a staff-facing concept prototype. It shows how appointment, attendance and access information could help a team notice appointments that may benefit from support, suggest a next step, and keep a structured record of what was done.
Synthetic information only
All information in this demonstration is synthetic. No patient-identifiable information is used. Names, contact details, dates of birth and test identifiers are fictional. The identifiers are not NHS numbers.
Nothing is sent or stored remotely
The prototype is not connected to NHS systems. No messages are actually sent. Changes you make stay in this browser until you reset the demonstration or clear site data.
Illustrative recommendations
Recommendations are illustrative. They are produced by inspectable rules from the synthetic appointment and access information. They are not a prediction, a score, or a statement that a person will or will not attend. These rules would require validation during Phase 1. The prototype does not contain a machine-learning model.
Not an approved production architecture
This is not an approved production architecture. It is a static demonstration intended to explain the concept.
Production would need NHS Wales assurance
A production implementation would require appropriate NHS Wales technical, information governance, security and integration assurance.
